Our Story

The Simplifications Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making academic research more accessible, understandable, and useful for learners around the world.

Every year, important research is published in fields such as medicine, science, technology, psychology, public health, economics, and social impact. However, much of this work is written in highly technical language, making it difficult for younger students and people with limited access to higher education or academic resources to fully engage with it.

Our mission is to close that gap by transforming complex research papers into clear, accurate, and engaging explanations that middle school students and global learners can understand. We believe that access to knowledge should not depend on academic background, location, or educational opportunity.

Through the work of student writers and volunteers, The Simplifications Project helps expand research literacy, promote educational equity, and encourage curiosity across communities. By simplifying research without weakening its meaning, we aim to make advanced ideas more accessible to the next generation of students, thinkers, and problem-solvers.
